yogashala´s teacher training program provide a unique learning experience, directed by fred busch founder of the miami yogashala who has the capacity along with his staff of r.y.t. to answer and clarify any concern about the spiritual path, the meaning of life, running a successful yoga studio and marketing oneself as a full time professional yoga instructor.
this unique program, will enable students to complete the 200-Hour certification course in 4 weeks. students who successfully complete the certification will be eligible to apply for registered yoga teacher (r.y.t.) status with the yoga alliance.
yoga alliance is a non-profit organization that supports yoga teachers and the diversity and integrity of yoga. their mission is to lead the yoga community, set standards, foster integrity, provide resources, and uphold the teachings of yoga.
yoga alliance registers both individual yoga teachers and yoga teacher training programs who have complied with minimum educational standards established by the organization. teachers registered in yoga alliance are authorized to use the initials "r.y.t." (registered yoga teacher) after their name, or the initials "e-r.y.t." (experienced registered yoga teacher) if they have significant teaching experience in addition to training.
The Registries are advertised and promoted to the general public, organizations that employ yoga teachers (i.e. YMCA's, athletic clubs, Park & Recreation Departments, etc.), and organizations that review yoga teachers' credentials (hospitals, health insurance companies, govern-mental organizations, etc.).

timing
intensive training with fred busch - april 23th to may 13th
yoga practice with alex landazuri- may 14th to may 20th, here you will be required to practice, observe and assist 5 classes (at least one class everyday of lima yogashala schedule), attend the practical exams of other students, take your practical and writen exam, and attend two ayurveda workshops (how to addapt your practice to your body constitution or dosha)
a typical intensive day is:
9 am - 11 am asana practice
11 am - 1 pm Yoga theory
1pm - 1:30 pm break
1:30 - 4:30 pm teaching practice
accomodation
if you require accomodation in Lima, we have rented a beautiful appartment in Miraflores, probably the nicest place to live in Lima, for only US$ 100 a month. please email alex@limayoga.com to reserve a spot (only 4 available).
completion requirements
- 100% attendance to all Teacher Training sessions, if you miss a class or two you will have to re-schedule.
- successful completion of the written and practical exam
payment
the program tuition is US$2450. if you pay the US$ 500 application fee before feb 14th you will get a US$ 250 discount. The balance is to be paid before april 20th 2012 (application fee is non refundable and included on the tuition).
